Shared Concepts, Consistent Meanings
The saying, “Simplicity is in the details”… well, I’m not sure that’s a statistically correct truism.
- “Simplicity is in the eye of the beholder”.. No, no that’s not it either.
- “Simple thoughts for simple minds”.. If it were that simple, we wouldn’t be here. Closer… hmmm…
- “Complex concepts come in simple packages”.. Well, that’s not it either. Moving on..
On this page is an occasionally updated “Glossary of Terms” for various technical topics which arise in the day to day, writings, copy-pastings, and commentary upon which this site exists. It’s important to have a shared sense of meaning, of definitions, particularly with technical topics but in more normative conversation this holds true as well. The same phrase can be interpreted by different cultures and groups with different backgrounds, so it’s best to be on the same page when it comes to acronyms and common phrases and sayings.
